It’s like watching a movie designed for 3D in 2D, in that there are bits and pieces to the presentation that seem out of place. This was originally a VR game, and I’m sure many of you out there are like me in that I find it’s easy to spot these cases. I’ll have a review of this one early next week, but if you like adventure games and somehow didn’t play this one, you should. Hopefully the other two seasons are going to get the same treatment as they only got better as they went along. And that’s a good thing, because this is Sam & Max after all. This was one of Telltale’s earlier releases, so it’s a lot more like a traditional point-and-click adventure game than most of the stuff the company became famous for. Sam and Max are back! Again! Sort of! This is a really nice re-do of Telltale’s first season of Sam & Max, and it’s been just long enough since I’ve played this that it feels nice to slip into again. It’s been a wild couple of years for the game, and there are definitely more surprises on the way in the next year! In addition, the Rematch item will be available. Kicking off on Friday and running for three days through the weekend, the Second Anniversary Spirit Board event will give you three times the usual experience points and SP. In honor of that, this week’s event has some goodies for everyone. Ultimate‘s second anniversary, which is coming up on December 7th. It’s the Wednesday before Super Smash Bros.
It’s Wednesday again, and not just any Wednesday either. With two different paths, a large cast of characters, and plenty of optional battles, Mercenaries Blaze should scratch your strategy RPG itch quite nicely. While the game maintains the mechanics and story elements players have come to expect from the series, it also brings fully 3D battle maps to Mercenaries for the first time. Mercenaries Blaze: Dawn of the Twin Dragons will be coming on December 17th in North America and Europe, giving you a nice meal to dig into just before the holidays kick off.
